PIGEON FORGE, Tennessee (Sept. 8, 2025) – Autumn temperatures are on the way, and Pigeon Forge plans for fall’s arrival with festive offerings for the entire family. With seasonal festivals, music events, family-friendly Halloween happenings and more, Pigeon Forge invites everyone to plan their fall break trips and Smoky Mountains getaways now.
Known for its brilliant foliage, Great Smoky Mountains National Park provides a gorgeous backdrop to fall fun in Pigeon Forge. Only six miles from the entrance to the park, Pigeon Forge is the perfect home base for national park leaf peepers. According to the National Park Service, at higher elevations, color displays start as early as mid-September.
Pigeon Forge businesses offer a way to stay in town and enjoy the splendor of fall with harvest and Halloween decorations along with autumn flavors at area restaurants and distilleries. Among the festive décor, seasonal Scarecrow People welcome visitors at local businesses throughout the city. Guests and locals alike also can take part in a scarecrow scavenger hunt to see how many Scarecrow People they can spot while in town.

- Rocky Top Mountain Coaster Coasts & Goblins – now through Oct. 31 featuring festive lights, goblins, and ghosts throughout the ride.
- Pigeon Forge Halloween Spooktacular & Safety Day – Oct. 30 at the Pigeon Forge Community Center. Free trick-or-treating, games and safety demonstrations 4-9 p.m.
- Trick-or-Treat at The Island in Pigeon Forge – Oct. 31 free trick-or-treating for kids from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Halloween at KOA – Oct. 17-19 includes a Halloween golf cart parade, costume contests, a pet costume contest, trick or treating and a haunted carnival with games and prizes
