Christmas Show Debuts At Dolly Parton’s Lumberjack Adventure On Nov. 4

PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016) – Dolly Parton’s Lumberjack Adventure Dinner & Show continues its high-flying inaugural season with a new holiday tale which invites families on a journey to discover the spirit of Christmas. The new show opens Friday, Nov. 4.

The Wheelers and McGregors, both known for helping supply the Great Smoky Mountains with Christmas trees during this special time of year, display amazing lumberjack skills, incredible acts of acrobatic agility and breathtaking aerial performances as they explore the hillsides and—at the same time—the true meaning of Christmas.

“Lumberjack Adventure has experienced an amazing debut season,” said Jamie Parish, General Manager of Dolly Parton’s Lumberjack Adventure. “We know the thrills and excitement of this new show, along with the heartfelt moments which so perfectly capture the joy of Christmas, will make this an instant family holiday tradition.”

Along the way, guests enjoy incredible lumberjack skills competitions, engaging songs and dance, as well as marvelous live animals and a moving Nativity which combine for a heartwarming Christmas experience. The Nativity is set to Parton’s powerful version of “Little Drummer Boy,” a special song that conveys the importance of this extraordinary scene.

Guests should come early as the entertainment begins early with interactive music and much more!

A lumberjack feast treats guests to tantalizing tastes inspired by the campfire cuisine of a fun-filled sawmill logging camp at Christmas. The meal begins with creamy timber slaw and a buttery, homemade lumberjack biscuit followed by campfire fried chicken, smokehouse pulled pork, a logger potato, and buttery corn on the cob. The meal concludes with Lumberjack Adventure’s own specialty dessert. Unlimited Pepsi, tea and coffee also are part of the meal.

Lumberjack Adventure celebrates the spirit of the Appalachian people who lived off the land in loggingand milling towns which dotted the map throughout the region. The new show is sure to provide families with even more opportunities to make lasting memories when they visit the Great Smoky Mountains.
