It’s Football Time at The Island!

Current and former Big Orange football heroes will touch down at The Island in Pigeon Forge on June 10 (5 to 6:30 p.m.) during the second annual Legends of Tennessee Football autograph signing event.

The event is free, and football fans are invited to bring two items to be autographed. All fans will receive a free commemorative poster.

The family-friendly event includes special performances of “Rocky Top” and “I’m A Vol” on The Island’s Show Fountain, a free laser-light show that is performed every 30 minutes.

The Legends event also includes a VIP Vol experience which includes expedited early access (beginning at 3:30 p.m.) and a gift bag. A limited quantity of exclusive VIP tickets is available for purchase at https://www.legendsoftennessee.org/event/vip-autograph-event-compass-rose-room/.

The Legends of Tennessee organization’s three-day summer football camp also returns to Sevier County High School (1200 Dolly Parton Parkway) June 9-11. The weekend event for ages eight to 18 teaches life skills, character building, and leadership through football fundamentals. Camp attendees also will enjoy a visit to The Island. Camp tickets only may be purchased at www.legendsoftennessee.org.

“Our Legends of Tennessee camp offers young athletes of all skill levels the opportunity to learn elite fundamentals as well as life skills, all taught by Tennessee Volunteer football greats,” said Jabari Davis and Chris Treece, Legends of Tennessee co-founders.

“Many children, especially in East Tennessee, dream of being a Vol, and Legends of Tennessee football camp shares first-hand knowledge of the program, better preparing young athletes to pursue their journey in sports and life,” Jabari added.

“The Legends of Tennessee autograph signing event was very well received last year by sports enthusiasts,” said The Island President Bob McManus. “We’re pleased to offer it again this summer so that families can meet these legends in a family friendly environment that only The Island can offer.”

The Island recently opened five new rides for guests of all ages to enjoy. As one of Pigeon Forge’s most popular daytime and evening destinations, The Island’s accolades include a No. 6 ranking on TripAdvisor’s list of Best Amusement Parks in the U.S. and a second-place finish among the 10 Best Tennessee Theme Parks
